On September 8, 2020, Vladislav Shapsha, a Provisional Governor of the Kaluga Region, officially launched the plant for the production of sanitary tissue products of Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC (Vorsino industrial park, a subsidiary of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC, part of Pulp Mill Holding, the Austrian-German group).

Wastepaper serves as feedstock for paper and cardboard producing factories. Research in wastepaper processing is currently focused on designing specialized processing equipment and developing chemicals and auxiliaries securing the required level of wastepaper preparation.
