At FachPack 2016, Metsä Board will showcase its range of food service boards as well as its folding boxboards and linerboards designed to meet the demands of today’s packaging requirements.

Metsä Board has developed a food service board range that is suitable for cups, plates, trays, clamshells and other takeaway containers. The company announced in November 2015 an investment in an extrusion coating line at its Husum mill. This investment will enable Metsä Board to produce fresh fibre paperboards with a PE-coating. Before the new extrusion line starts up during the first half of 2017, Metsä Board is able to offer food service boards PE-coated by external converters.

In addition to food service boards, Metsä Board will also present its folding boxboards and white linerboards based on fresh fibres. The offering includes paperboards suitable for litholamination which is becoming increasingly popular as a way of combining the strength of corrugated packaging with an excellent print result.

Visitors to the Metsä Board stand will be able to discuss specific packaging requirements and to see samples which show how structural design and converting, print and finishing techniques can add considerable value and impact to the final packaging design.
