Russian vodka “Serebryaniy Zamok”, manufactured by the city of Alexandrov distillery won the “Double Gold medal” award at the 13th International tasting contest during San Francisco World Spirits Competition, held from 21 to 24 March in the US. The expert jury acknowledged the quality of the “Serebryaniy Zamok” vodka to be the best in the “Classic vodka” category. This victory at the prestigious competition from the World Top-10 list of the most significant industry contests became the first in the history of this young brand, launched at spring of 2012.
“Serebryaniy Zamok” vodka is made with natural water, enriched with silver ions. During the manufacturing process the beverage undergoes several purification procedures with the final silver filtering before bottling.
This year the Competition saw a record-breaking number of participating brands – 1400 beverages from over than 60 countries. The quality was judged using the blind test method by HoReCa experts, professional tasters, industry journalists, buyers, and consultants. The report concerning the event together with the information about winners appeared in the May issue of The Tasting Panel journal, - the most distributed and respected spirits and alcoholic drinks industry media.
It is hard to overestimate the significance of the award for the city of Alexandrov distillery, which re-launched the production process in last November after 2 years of standby. The award is the result of investments in the distillery modernization, which have amounted 1.6 million US dollars by 2012, and which would be supported by another 3.5 million US dollars before the end of 2013. The aim of investment is to implement modern technologies and facilities for the production of high quality vodka and other alcoholic drinks, popular among consumers. The bestowal of “Serebryaniy Zamok” vodka, which manufacturing process features innovative purification systems, is the recognition of correct strategy, chosen by distillery.
