The Pack Experts Committee led by Annette Freidinger, Consultant for EMBALLAGE, met in Paris on April 1st, 2010 and defined criteria to distinguish the 2010 innovations proposed by manufacturers of packaging and packaging machine and service companies at EMBALLAGE 2010.
Packaging in the new millennium must primarily offer intelligent features, PROVIDING SOLUTIONS while REVEALING TRENDS i.e. to inform, protect, serve, attract, carry…
Brands are now expecting packaging to deliver performance based on the three mainstays of Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER):
- – the economic aspect through:- > ADDED VALUE AND EFFICIENT SOLUTIONS FOR THE COMPANY
- – the environmental aspect via: -> FAIR AND ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE ALTERNATIVES
- – the social aspect with: -> USAGE, MEANING, AND ERGONOMICS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INDIVIDUAL
The presentation of the major innovations exhibited at EMBALLAGE will be organized around the above 3 categories. The Pack Experts Committee members will also award their “Choice selection” among the products which will be showcased in the specifically designed "Pack Innovation" Area.
