Amcor announces today that the consultation process with the European Works Council relating to Amcor acquiring certain parts of Alcan Packaging has been successfully completed.

Following the completion of the European Works Council consultation, Rio Tinto Plc has formally signed the Sale and Purchase Agreement.

Amcor’s CEO and Managing Director, Mr Ken MacKenzie said: “We are pleased to have finalised the consultation process with the European Works Council and look forward to moving to completion of the transaction.”
