RPC Oakham Printing Capabilities Provides the Key to Brand Expansion
RPC Containers Oakham`s expertise in printing, allied to the durability and convenience of its injection moulded pails, has enabled Keys of Lincolnshire to reinforce its branding as part of the company`s expansion plans.
Based in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, EM Key and Son is a family farm manufacturing a range of fruit and vegetables which are supplied to leading supermarkets and other retailers. The company has expanded its product portfolio by moving into added value commodities, such as pre-packed or processed vegetables for the foodservice market, and has recently established a factory on its site for preparing jams and conserves, which are sold to supermarkets, butchers, delis and farm shops.
To coincidence with the expansion, the company is undergoing a rebranding as Keys of Lincolnshire in order to enhance its reputation as a producer of high-quality foods. As part of this process the company was keen to update its packaging, and turned to RPC Oakham to provide a new twist on the existing style.
“We have used white pails for several of our products for a number of years,” comments Fraser Key. “Having already been happy with RPC Oakham as one of our existing suppliers, when we examined the options for rebranding we felt that they were the best strategic partner going forward due to their expertise in printing.”
The 10L pails, injection moulded in PP, are printed with a quirky monochrome cartoon style image, a design already in use on Keys` cardboard packaging which the company felt would be both familiar and attractive to its customers. Keys` processed onions, jams and conserves are packaged in the printed pails for both the foodservice and retail markets.
“Keys is proud of our Lincolnshire heritage and our commitment to the highest quality, and we feel that the printed pails from RPC Oakham help to reinforce the sense of a strong family brand,” confirms Fraser Key.
