3M Converter Markets has presented a unique film, the CM500 Radiant Color Film, available in the colours of the rainbow. The uniqueness of the film is that the colour of the paper may vary depending on which angle you look at it. The material is formed of a multilayered structure of polymethylmetacrylate and polyethylenterephthalat, inserted between the layers of pet.

The distinctive reflective properties give both the packing and the labelling excellent appearance. Moreover, the cost of the new product does not exceed the costs of the metallised films or holographic films. Up to this moment, the commercial use of the new material has only been introduced in different types of labels and in the production of a unique carton package for the line of Dior Addict eau du parfum.

The film is suitable for IML labelling, but unfortunately, it cannot be used in circumstances where there is direct contact with food products. The new additions to the Radiant Color film range are the CM500 (1.15 micormeters) in light blue, red and gold and the slightly thinner CM592 (1.3 micormeters) which comes in light blue, dark blue and red. Films are available for purchase in the regular variety and the paste coated type. It is suitable for cutting operations, lamination and commercial use.
