Boxmore Plastics part of the Chesapeake Corporation recently developed a new 60 milliliter (1.8 ounce) plastic container for Glanbia Foods’ Yoplait Essence brand of yogurt launched last February in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Boxmore’s operation in Cavan, Ireland produces the extrusion blow molded HDPE container, which features a unique shape resembling an old-fashioned medicine or “potion” bottle. The Cavan design team worked closely with the Glanbia marketing team to ensure that the desired shape would allow for efficient filling and sleeving on Glanbia’s high-speed production lines.

Including the Essence brand, Chesapeake now supplies six distinctive plastic containers for Yoplait brands in Ireland. The Yoplait Essence brand includes six products uniquely formulated to address specific health concerns among Irish consumers such as osteoporosis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, digestion, weight control and low immunity.
