In collaboration with Asaclean-Sun Plastech, a unit of Asahi Kasei Chemicals Japan, the plasticating systems manufacturer Spirex Corporation (Canada) has patented the PowerPurge® system. This PowerPurge® system is a self-cleaning injection system designed to remove materials from screws and barrels without the need to disassemble them. It is a three-piece valve featuring retainer body, a check ring and lock, and a specially formulated purging compound.
