An association for special paper

Presented at Brussels last April, Paperplus is the new association founded by twelve of the largest European producers of special paper, with the objective of representing the interests of the category and promoting paper as a material ideal for flexible packaging, for labels and pressure sensitive materials.

The association, currently under registration, represents the producers of single sided gloss and calendered papers for flexible packaging, wet-glue and laminated pressure sensitive labels, but it is also ready to represent other types of special paper.

For now it operates in three distinct areas:
• product promotion in the various food & beverage applicative areas;
• carrying out of studies on the European market;
• representation of the interests of its associates at the EU and with national governments.
Paperplus is based at Brussels at CEPI (Confederation of European Paper Industries) and is guided by an Executive Committee headed by Diego Borello (Ahlstrom).
