Segezha Group Has Increased the Output of Its Paper Sack Production in Karelia
Segezha Packaging LLC has launched two new lines for the production of paper sacks. The capacity is 174 million sacks per year. Over RUB 2 billion has been invested in the project.
Both new production lines feature an automated adhesive application system and a machine for glueing the inner lining sheets. These help ensure that the bottom of the paper sack remains tightly sealed, which is crucial for manufacturers of finely powdered products.

The new production lines will produce paper sacks of various sizes with valves of any degree of complexity for all types of packaging. The new equipment is notable for the quick changeover from one order to another.
‘Thanks to the completion of this project, the company is now capable of expanding its production capacity and meeting the growing demands of the construction industry. The modernisation of our production facilities is ongoing. We are continuing to implement state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technical solutions. Next year, we expect a total output of 859 million pieces of quality paper packaging at our three plants in Russia: in Segezha, Salsk and Lobnya,’ noted Aleksey Sitnikov, CEO of Segezha Packaging LLC.
Currently, Segezha Group produces industrial paper packaging at two plants in Russia and seven plants in Europe: in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Romania. The group’s total packaging output is around 1.6 billion sacks per year (increased by approx. 12%).
