Concentrated expertise in application technology

With fully-owned organizations as well as trading partners, Arburg provides first-class, comprehensive support to its customers at the local level around the world. An important element here is application-technology consulting - both in pre-sales and after-sales. To ensure a consistently high standard internationally, some 30 application technology experts from around the world met at the Lossburg headquarters in June 2018 for an intensive transfer of knowledge and exchange of experiences.

"We offer our customers a very wide range of machines and automation solutions, which can be individually configured thanks to their modular design. We also cover numerous processes, so that our range includes the right solution for every requirement," says Managing Director Sales Gerhard Böhm. He went on to explain that these offerings are rounded off by expert application-technology consulting services, which Arburg continues to expand internationally.

In order to gain a comprehensive overview of the innovations and further developments in the machine, control system and process range, application experts from the subsidiaries and trading partners met for a two-day event in Lossburg. On the first day, the topics for discussion included lightweight construction, electric and rotary table machines, as well as additive manufacturing with the Freeformer.

The second day took a more practical turn, with a variety of workshops. Split up into small groups, the participants worked on various different injection moulding machines at the Customer Center. The focus was on control system features and the large Allrounder 1120 H.

The unanimously positive feedback from the application experts is proof of the success of the international application technology meeting. Speaking on behalf of all the participants, Derek Cheetham from the UK put it in a nutshell: "The two-day event provided a great opportunity to discuss current topics, share experiences with colleagues from around the world and building on our own expertise with the objective of further enhancing our first-class customer care."
