Rating Agency Expert RA Prepared an Annual Rating of Exporters…

On the initiative of DHL Co. and with the assistance of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Rating Agency Expert RA prepared an Annual Rating of Exporters.

It was stated that the last year was the most successful year for the Russian export during the decade of reforms. The volume of exports rose by 43.1% against 1999 and for the first time exceeded $100 billion and reached $105.2 billion. Russia was up from the 20th place to the 17th in the international table of ranks. It resulted mainly from the growth of the world's prices for raw materials, especially for oil. The volume of the Russian export of FEC (Fuel and Energy Complex) produce in value terms increased by 71% as compared to 1999 due to growth of prices and only by 5% due to growth of the volume.
