"Ilim Pulp Enterprise" boosts commodity turnover...

In the first half of 2001 the sales revenues of the Russia's leading timber corporation "Ilim Pulp Enterprises" exceeded RUR 7.3 billion, having increased by RUR 1 billion over the prior year period.

The output of main products amounted to 767 thousand tonnes, having increased by 100 thousand tonnes over the prior year period.

The group of companies "Ilim Pulp Enterprises" includes "Kotlass pulp-and-paper plant", "Bratsk complex holding" (Irkutsk region), "Saint Petersburg cardboard and printing plant" (Leningrad region) and almost 30 timber processing enterprises located in Arkhangelsk and Irkutsk regions, as well as the logistics company "Fintrans", the trade company "PetroBoard Trading", a company "Communarvtorresourcy" and the Czech plant "Plzenska Papirna".

In 2000 the enterprises of the group produced over 1.6 million tonnes of consumer products; 67% thereof were exported. The cumulative commodity turnover of the company reached approximately $1 billion in 2000.
