Independence & Growth for Belpac

27.07.2011

Belpac, the Midlands based Packaging Manufacturer and Contract Packager has become an independent company in its own right after more than twenty years as a subsidiary of a parent group with different core business and market focus.

New owner Kevan Howley believes there's an exciting and prosperous future for Belpac now the company is free to focus on its core business, with a mission to become the superior UK tier-2 packaging company:

"Beyond the few huge tier-1 packaging companies who churn out prodigious quantities of packaging from their high fixed cost bases, the packaging sector is fragmented and many are struggling. We see great opportunities for profitable growth through sector consolidation, closer engagement in just-in-time supply chains, and broadening our range of products and services to the client base," said Kevan Howley.

Howley has a background in technology products and services and has an extraordinary track record of propelling profitable growth. He intends to use his wide network of company and individual contacts and his intimate knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain management to win strategic engagements for Belpac, working closely with and supporting the achievement of present and future customers.

"In the fast-moving world of hi-tech, new products are developed and launched on a monthly basis and manufacturers need to work with nimble suppliers to ensure their accelerated development cycles are carried through production and delivery. Belpac has proven itself over many years to be a consistently dependable producer offering high quality products and services that support customers' needs and goals. Seasonal merchandise such as Easter Eggs, Special Christmas Packs, and Horticultural Products have tested and proven Belpac's ability to be responsive, flexible and reliable.

"The management team and staff led by Managing Director Ian Blunt have deep and broad experience of meeting and exceeding customers' packaging needs and l aim to supplement them with additional staff when necessary.

"Ian Blunt has just returned from a visit to Germany where higher performance production plant is being tested with a view to future investment for increased capabilities in both production and quality, added Kevan.

Howley has already begun negotiations on additional property to house the growing Belpac business stating, "We definitely need more space even though going forward we'll do more work co-located with our customers."
