Petainer appoints new finance director

Specialist plastics packaging technology business Petainer has appointed Martin Lenz as its new group finance and IT director.

Martin has joined Petainer from Bombardier Transportation where he was head of accounting in Germany, leading a team of almost 90 accountants through a reorganisation and transfer to a new shared service centre.

Earlier he conducted a worldwide review of process audits for the group before he was appointed to head of accounting and control for the company’s Czech operations.

Martin was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers for four years working in senior auditing roles in Germany and the Czech Republic.

Petainer chief executive Nigel Pritchard said: “This is a significant appointment for the group and we are delighted to welcome Martin as director for finance and IT.

“It’s vital that Petainer attracts and appoints people of this calibre to ensure we build on our position as the industry leader in our approach to sustainability, focusing on sustainable technologies and material efficiency to deliver environmentally-friendly packaging.”
