Ranpak Settles Dispute with R.V. Evans Company
Ranpak Corp. - a leader in innovative paper packaging solutions - has settled a dispute with the R.V. Evans Company of Decatur, Illinois involving a distribution agreement between the parties.
Ranpak had previously filed an action against R.V. Evans captioned Ranpak Corp. v. R.V. Evans Company, in the Lake County Court of Common Pleas, which was subsequently transferred to the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
The complaint filed by Ranpak included claims that Evans breached its distributor agreement by Evans' sale and promotion of Storopack PaperPlus and related products in contravention of the conflict of interest provisions contained in the distributor agreement. The complaint also included claims that Evans failed to comply with the requirements regarding prior notice and termination of the distributor agreement. The settlement with Evans resolves all issues in this case. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed by the parties.
