Martin Hintz elected as etma President

On the occasion of the Annual Conference of the european tube manufacturers association (etma) in Munich in June 2010 Mr. Martin Hintz, Vice-President Operations Tube Worldwide of Alcan Packaging Beauty, was elected as new etma President.

The european tube manufacturers association (etma), founded on 25 April 1959, represents the interests of 52 companies from 19 European countries, which offer tailor-made packaging solutions for cosmetic, pharmaceutical, dental care, food and household products.

At assumption of office Martin Hintz looked optimistically ahead: „After the difficult situation in 2009 the European tube industry will rev up in the coming years because the tube is a real packaging classic which is reinventing itself time and again thanks to continuous innovation in the industry. The tube provides both to customers and consumers a convincing and sustainable packaging concept which stands for optimal product protection, convenience, economic efficiency and environmental compatibility.”
