Ilim Group has launched its environmental website
Ilim Group has launched a new information resource for employees — an environmental intranet site. The purpose of this resource is to improve environmental literacy of the Company's employees.
The website provides general environmental information, outlines major environmental issues, presents environmental laws and principles of environmental policy of OJSC Ilim Group. Having studied the information posted on the website, the employees will take electronic tests to check their knowledge of the key environmental aspects of the Company's operations.
The launch of an environmental intranet site is part of Ilim's comprehensive program to increase the Company's environmental efficiency and reduce emissions into the environment. The program involves upgrades of the manufacturing capacities using best technologies, staff trainings and promotion of sustainable approach to utilization of natural resources. Moreover, the Company is vigorous in proposing improvements to Russian environmental laws.
