Rubezahl SUN RICE enhances its value with Amcor E-Close®

Rübezahl Schokoladen GmbH, one of Germany's leading confectionery manufacturers, has recently introduced Amcor E-Close® for their SUN RICE chocolate squares which are exclusively sold into ALDI supermarkets in Germany.

In order to enhance consumer value Rübezahl decided to upgrade the packaging for their SUN RICE brand by moving to Amcor E-Close®. This new packaging improves the products' presentation and also meets consumers' demands for easy open and re-closable packaging.

"Amcor E-Close® helps us to differentiate our SUN RICE brand from other confectionery products on the shelves. It allows us to respond to consumer needs by applying an easy opening and re-close mechanism. Consumer convenience combined with the improved laminate structure clearly creates additional benefits for our customers and allows us to retain the high quality of our products from production through distribution into consumers' hands and homes," explains Sandra Pejkovic, Product Manager at Rübezahl Schokoladen GmbH.

By incorporating the high-tech re-seal into the film, Amcor E-Close® minimises the use of additional packaging materials such as zippers and stickers that are commonly used for reclosing of packaging. To re-close the pack, simply press down the flap, taking advantage of the pressure sensitive seal that is incorporated into the flexible laminate.
