Bioplastics in Packaging at the Interpack-2008

The special exhibit Bioplastics in Packaging, presenting everything around the topic of bioplastics, will take place at this year's interpack. Especially against the background of increasing oil prices and an ever-growing public environmental consciousness, bio-degradable and bio-based plastics are an interesting alternative to conventional plastics. Also in the packaging sector, the subject „Bioplastics“ is becoming more and more important. It is only logical that particularly with organic products, biological packaging is used.

From 24-30 April 2008, 40 well-known international companies present themselves on circa 1,000 m², and there they will show raw materials, semi-finished products, products, processes, machines and services related to bioplastics technology. This means that compared with the previous event, the surface area has more than tripled.

This special topic, organised together with the European Bioplastics Association, will take place at this year's interpack in hall 7a. It is accompanied by a supporting programme with contributions on current topics of the sector in the forum, hall 7a.
