Salzgitter buys SIG-Beverages from Switzerland's SIG Group for undisclosed sum
Salzgitter AG said it is buying SIG-Beverages from Rheinfall, Switzerland-based SIG Group to expand in plastic bottle technology.
No financial details were disclosed.
Salzgitter last year bought Kloeckner-Werke AG to enter the engineering and machine building area of beverage filling and packaging technologies.
The company said in a statement the takeover of SIG-Beverages represents an 'initial, and highly relevant step' in further developing Kloeckner-Werke.
SIG-Beverages, which has 480 employees, last year generated sales of about 150 mln eur.
