The first plastic pallet production in Hardenberg

Schoeller Arca Systems in Hardenberg proudly presents the production launch of the first Contraload quarter display pallets.

Sylvain Naets and Jesse Sels from CONTRALOAD were invited to pick up the first pallets from the assembly line. Schoeller Arca Systems realised this project in less then 4 months and  in time due the close cooperation of the project team, which was headed by Patrick Breukers. Paul & Siemen Errygers as account manager stayed in close contact with Contraload during the development. A trial run of 50.000 pallets has to be made to support the Christmas actions in the Benelux retail. The forecast 2008, is up to half a million pallets and expectation are that the pool will be build up to a few million pallets in the next 3 years. Schoeller Arca will the sole supplier and will be able to follow Contraload in it’s European market expansion.

So soon you will see the re-usable plastic display pallet (600x400 mm) in your local supermarket. It is supporting many different products and the logistic chain in a more environmental way. “We are really glad we signed the deal of pooling with CONTRALOAD” says product manager Ludo Gielen. “We are sure that this development is the right product at the right moment. It also shows that using returnable plastic packaging is much more sustainable than one-way cardboard or wooden display pallets”.
