Ensuring Wipes Are Fit For The Purpose

The huge growth in the wet wipes market has led RPC Containers Oakham to introduce a new wipes dispenser fitment for its top-selling S Range of plastic pails.

The new design was developed in conjunction with RPC Market Rasen, which is manufacturing the fitment, and was created following discussions with existing and potential customers and detailed research into the needs of the market.

Key requirements were ease of use and to ensure the wipes do not dry out at any stage, particularly while waiting to be dispensed.

In terms of user convenience, the dispenser is welded to the container lid to keep it totally secure during usage. In addition, the dispenser features a wide flange, which provides added support to the lid as the wipes are being extracted.

The deep well contains the next wipe ready to be dispensed while a double seal that receives and retains the hinged plug prevents the drying out of the wipes at this point.

The hinged plug sits flush to the lid of the container to allow normal stacking of the pails. Customer logos can also be added to the plug to help maximise on-shelf branding. RPC says the new fitment meets the demands of the market at a time when health and hygiene issues are of increasing concern.
