Innovative 216-cavity mold to produce PET preforms

In collaboration with Amcor PET Packaging, the Canadian plastic processing machines Husky Injection Molding Systems has developed an innovative 216-cavity mold specially designed to produce poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) preforms with thread diameters of up to 300 mm. This new mold has been designed to equip a HyPET 650 press from Husky. This injection-molding machine provides throughput rates of up to 1.800 Kg per hour. Husky Injection Molding Systems will sell its new preform mold on the American market.
