Cost effective alternative to metal cans

Graham Engineering Corporation (GEC) has developed a new multilayer polypropylene (PP) container having barrier properties by using a blow molding process and the GEC wheel technology. The GEC wheel technology offers cost reduction for production and weight saving for containers by the use of a single machine which produces one parison head featuring one to seven layers including oxygen barrier. Expected applications for the multilayer plastic containers include food packaging such as wide mouth fruit jars or fruit juice bottles and also dry goods.
