Constar and Amcor sign deal

Constar International has entered into an Oxbar patent license agreement with Amcor (Packaging) Australia allowing Amcor to supply its Australian and New Zealand customers with PET bottles.
Oxbar patents are licensed to leading converters and brand owners worldwide and bottles made under the patent’s licences protect oxygen-sensitive products.
This might include wine, beer, fruit-based beverages and foods in PET containers and the benefits are said to include flavour, colour and vitamin retention.
The bottles under the Amcor and Constar agreement have enhanced oxygen-scavenger protection to retain product quality and will be used initially to package wine.
