Alcan Packaging Beauty Designs Cap for “Delices de Cartier”

Cartier called on the Surlyn conversion and gluing expertise of Alcan Packaging beauty’s Challes plant to create the caps for its new fragrance for women, “Delices de Cartier.” Each cap is a highly transparent, pure flower sculpted in plastic.

The 30ml, 50ml and 100ml Eau de Toilette bottles are capped with a clear Surlyn flower adorned by a cherry-colored PS stone. The 30ml Eau de Parfum features a cherry-colored Surlyn flower capped off with a central transparent PS stone.

Each stone is delicately placed in the flower’s heart by automation. A Zamac ring engraved with the “Délices de Cartier” logo adorns the cap’s base. Both ring and stone are glued to the flower in a single operation – a real technical achievement!
