SUN Interbrew Ukraine introduces new beer bottling line at Kharkiv brewery

OJSC SUN Interbrew Ukraine, Ukraine's largest brewing company, has introduced a new beer bottling line with the capacity of 48,000 beer bottles per hour at Kharkiv brewery (Rohan plant).

As a company press release reads, the new line, produced by the Krones company, cost over EUR 4 million. The increase of company's output capacity is foreseen by the investment plan for 2004-2008.

Last year, over EUR 8 million was spent during the Kharkiv brewery's technical reconstruction program. SUN Interbrew was created in the spring of 1999 by Interbrew of Belgium (now named InBev) and the SUN Trade Group for work on Russian and Ukrainian markets. The company's Russian assets (nine breweries, including the Tinkoff brewery) have been merged into JSC SUN Interbrew.

In Ukraine, the company runs three breweries. According to experts, SUN Interbrew is Russia's second largest beer producer and the biggest in Ukraine.
