UPM in $40m China label project

Magazine papermaker UPM-Kymmene is to build a $40m plant in China to manufacture pressure-sensitive labelstock for the fast growing market. UPM said its Raflatac subsidiary will immediately start applying for permits for the new factory. The facility will be based near UPM’s Changsu paper mill. The company aims to have it up and running by the beginning of 2007.
