Alcoa Flexible Packaging Receives Supplier Award from Philip Morris

Alcoa announced that its Alcoa Flexible Packaging (AFP) business was the recipient of the Excellence in Improvement award for best overall improvement for the year 2004 from Philip Morris USA Inc. Improvement criteria include quality, cost, security and technology, and delivery and service.

AFP supplies a variety of packaging components for Philip Morris tobacco products used worldwide and is the company's primary supplier of the foil innerliner for its cigarette packages. "Receiving this recognition from Philip Morris, demonstrates our pledge to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement to supply quality laminated packaging products to one of the world's most recognized brands," said Bimal Kalvani, president of Alcoa Flexible Packaging.
