Natureflex bags more business

Biodegradable and compostable block bottom bags, made from Innovia Films’ Natureflex NP 23 and manufactured by Germany-based Schmidt Verpackungsfolien, are being used to pack a wide selection of speciality and organic produce for customers ranging from major hypermarkets to small independent bakeries. Manufactured from renewable wood pulp, Natureflex is certified to both EU and US compos-ting regulations and is glossy, anti-static, fast-drying and transparent, with a high gas barrier as well as a resis-tance to greases, oils and fats. Natureflex NP 23 also has good deadfold properties, making it ideal for hand-filled bags which can be closed easily by twisting the film on itself or folding the top of the bag over.
