Do-it-yourself sleeving
"My Sleeve" from Sleever International, Morangis Cedex (France), caused a stir at Emballage this year, which was held in Paris from 22. - 26. November 2004. The consumer decides at the point of sale what his pack is supposed to look like. A first "sleeving machine", as it is known, is being installed in the Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris in the next few days. The consumer has the choice of several printed plastic sleeves for the piccolo bottle of Pierrel champagne (that is supplied in a plastic transport container from Priplak), which he can simply fit over the bottle personalised with personal notes. The sleeve fits snugly around the bottle like a second skin after about 30 seconds in the automatic machine.
