Oliver Holl re-elected president at etma General Assembly meeting European tube industry well positioned for future challenges
At this year's General Assembly meeting of the European Tube Manufacturers Association (etma), the current etma President Oliver Höll was confirmed in office for a further two years. Oliver Höll is CEO of the internationally operating tube manufacturer Alltub based in Paris.

Oliver Höll is optimistic about the future of the European tube industry in view of moderate but stable growth of roughly 1.5 per cent in 2018 and satisfactory orders received in 2019: “The tube is constantly reinventing itself and is in keeping with today's zeitgeist. It is ideally suited for an increasingly mobile society as well as for online trading due to its customised size, its lightness and the fact that it is unbreakable. It is a sustainable packaging solution because it is recyclable and optimally protects the packaged product with minimal use of materials.”
And the etma president also sees the member companies of etma well equipped in the broad field of digitalisation: “A good many advanced solutions have already been developed in co-operation with our customers and suppliers. Just think of the innovative track-and-trace possibilities, the state-of-the-art anti-counterfeiting measures to protect consumers and the multitude of communication features that take account of the consumer’s rapidly increasing need for information. Here, too, the tube presents itself as a modern, connective packaging that is at the forefront of developments.”
