European Aerosol Production Sees Disappointing Start to 2002...

Despite achieving record rates of production in 2001, aerosol cans have seen a disappointing start to 2002, according to Aerobal.
Europe produced 1.8bn cans in 2001, an increase of 70m units compared with the previous year.
The slow start to 2002 is expected to continue until the second half, when a major upturn is predicted.
The European aerosol market accounts for 42% of worldwide aerosol production, including both tinplate and aluminium types.
Turnover generated from aerosols reached Euro285m in 2001, increasing in line with production.
