Organic Carlsberg - Now launched in Sweden

In Sweden, Carlsberg is getting more involved in organic beer and is now launching Carlsberg Hof Organic. Here, organic products broke the sales record in 2014, with a particular increase in the beverage segment. The latest figures from Swedish alcohol retailer ‘Systembolaget’ illustrates that the sales volume of their organic products have increased by 83 percent over last year. The new Carlsberg Hof Organic is an organic variation of the classic light lager beer and hit the shelves in early March 2015.

“We see a growing demand for organic products. It is clear that we all, as individual consumers, have become more aware of how we can shape our world by making active choices. At Carlsberg Sweden we welcome the organic movement, which is completely in line with our strategic focus areas. Organic beer has come to stay, and we chose to kick off the spring with the launch of the classic Carlsberg Hof in a new organic variation” says Henric Bystrom, Communications Manager, Carlsberg Sverige.

Carlsberg Hof Organic is a light medium-bodied lager with a balanced bitter brew of organic barley malt. The beer has a clean, fresh taste and an aromatic and rich scent of hops. It is excellent as a social drink together with classic Swedish dishes or many vegetarian dishes such as potato and leek soup.

Carlsberg Hof Organic will be sold in 33cl bottles and cans and is on sale at Systembolaget from March 2. Price: 11,90 SEK Alcohol content 4.2%.
