Dr Monika Kopra-Schäfer, managing director of Viechtach-based Linhardt GmbH & Co. KG, has succeeded Oliver Höll as chair of the Tubes, Cans and Impact Extrusions specialist tradeassociation within Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. (GDA).

A native of Finland, Dr Monika Kopra-Schäfer started her career in the paper industry in 1989, where she held various posts in marketing and sales as well as in senior management. In 2005 she joined the board of management of primary packaging manufacturer Linhardt with responsibility for development, production and sales for all of the group’s locations.

GDA’s Tubes, Cans and Impact Extrusions specialist trade association has 10 member companies. These are mostly medium-sized companies and together they have some 9,100 employees. Their main markets are the cosmetics, pharma, food and chemical industries.
